Hi, I'm not sure if this is a good time to post this, but I kept meaning to introduce myself--I found your journal through corin13 's and really enjoy it... I'm always shy about introducing myself to people here though!
I think I must have missed a lot of the drama in your journal over the past couple of days, but it did look like it was getting kind of intense. I thought what you had to say was really interesting, and didn't post anything because I didn't want to just jump in on that without "knowing" you, and I guess it kind of exploded anyway!
Anyway, my journal is mostly about food, my life, potential grad school, and religion (Eastern Orthodox)--I don't know if that's interesting. :) I would love to be friended/friend you if you wouldn't mind.
Hi. You left me a message in _marriedlife_ saying is I wanted to talk to leave you an email. Alot of the responses I'm getting, I will admit, are not matching what I want in my heart.. my email is child_lalita@hotmail.com or childlalita on aim, if you're willing to talk and share with me.
Well, I saw your debate in booju_newju (I'm not a member, but was perusing the site out of curiousity) and I have great respect for you after reading that debate.
I agree whole heartedly that if one is going to allow one side of a political debate to speak, then the other side has a right to speak as well. I also know just how difficult it is to support someone's right to share ideas you do not personally share.
I do that all the time. >.<
In the case of that particular debate I was whole heartedly on your side. It's such a difficult discussion, of course, because it's a sensitive issue right now.
Anyway! This is just a random stranger saying: GOOD FOR YOU!
And thank you.
You remind me that all hope is not lost for the internet community.
I was caught by your icon (from your responses in parenting101). My sister and I LOVE that series of books - I believe we're on our third set of copies, they get re-read that often! I've heard rumors of a movie coming out but can't find anything specific - do you know anything?
Oh, and you don't have to add me or anything if you don't want - I was just excited to find another Gabaldon fan.
Lot of rumors, but last I heard, nothing was happening. A studio has an option on it, I believe, but has for years and hasn't done anything with it. :p
Hi! I'm a friend of aelf's and she mentioned that I would love to read your blog. I'm a lesbian mom of 2 kidlets (one of whom is binky-obsessed) and aelf mentioned you were talking about weaning from those contraptions as well. :)
Do you mind if I add you? I'm mom to three kidlets, two who are strong-willed and one who is pretty laid back! I seem to share the same basic parenting philosophy as you, if newju is any indication!
Hi there... I came to view you because I simply have read the entire saga of Jamie and Claire many, many , MANY times, and when I saw your icon I knew instantly.
Hi. I have seen you around on stupid_free, and always really enjoy/learn something from your comments, especially when engaged in discussion with the stupids in the various communities the s_f posts are culled from. Plus your Jamie Fraser icon is amazing. I would really like to be friended and have your wisdom on my flist!
Anyone can do it - there's a place to set the date when you post. Most friends only posts are dated in the future so they stay at the top of the page. :)
could you suggest a community where I might find help with my husbands affair? I tried typing in all the trigger words nothing came up. I guess marriedlife isn't the right venue. I need help thanx
OK, I'm going to be very honest with you here. LJ is NOT going to help you with your husband's affair. Counseling will. Your church will. Your friends will. Your family will. Coming online and having a pissing contest with the woman your husband cheated with isn't going to help a thing.
_marriedlife_ is a good place to find resources, advice, and ask questions. It is NOT a support group for adultery, nor is it a place to hash out all your feelings about this. That is what your personal LJ and your flist is for.
Everything everyone said about getting away from that woman is exactly right. You are never ever going to move on if you keep deliberately rubbing salt in your own wounds.

13/2/07 00:46 (UTC)Random, I know. I was looking through the "Stupid Free" com and saw it. I'm rereading the book this month and hosting a book discussion.
Again sorry for the randomness. Great icon!
