Woman came in and bought 4 scones, and two of my coworkers started making fat jokes over the headset. I said something about that being rude and unnecessary. But awkward.

Well, that's...unfortunate.

yep. I get that some people want to amuse themselves while working, but that's just so unnecessary.

That's really harsh. Good on you for speaking up, but eeeek. :/

Actually, this is why I send my husband out when I fancy buying treats for me *and* the kids. I feel I can get away with buying, say, one muffin, but if I buy three I can practically feel the judgment even though I'm not eating any more than if I were just buying one.

At the library, you can get in trouble for commenting on what people are checking out. This is not always a bad system.

Ugh, so gross of them. You did a really good thing, to stand up and say something, despite making things awkward.
